Welcome to our FAQ page
Welcome to the Target Active Fitness FAQ page. Below are some of the questions we are asked the most. Fingers crossed, if you have a question, it is answered here. If not, please get in touch.
Are there changing rooms?
Yes. There are separate changing rooms and showers for everyone to use.
What time do you open and close?
Opening times tend to be from 0700 – 2000 Mon – Fri and 0900 – 1200 Sat. We are closed on Sunday. We do run some 0630 sessions in the week, so always check the timetable for the most up to date schedule. If the slot is on the timetable, it is going ahead. If there is no slot showing, it has been cancelled.
I only want to use the gym. Do you offer a ‘Gym Only’ membership?
No. Our membership subscriptions include unlimited use of the gym during Gym Only session times, found on the timetable. All memberships include classes, whether they are used or not.
I’d like to book some Personal Training. Do I have to have a gym membership?
No. You are welcome to book any of our personal training packages and attend those sessions with your trainer. No gym membership is required. If however, you want to attend the gym outside of your 1-2-1 PT time, you will need to book in to a Gym Only slot which will require either a PAYG or subscription membership.
Can I just attend ad-hoc?
Yes! This means you are a pay as you go member (PAYG). Once you have created your account you can register for as many or as few classes and gym only sessions as you like. Attend as much or as little as you like. Your account will remain live until you decide you no longer need it.
I don’t have an account, can I pay cash on the day?
No. All attendees must have an account as well as pre-register for their session. You can book up to 8 days in advance. This is for a number of reasons. 1. There are a limited number of places for each session, including gym only slots. 2. We are pretty much a cashless business. 3. We need to know who is attending and you must have completed the online registration forms for insurance purposes.
How late can I register for a class that I want to attend?
As long as there is a slot available, you have a valid membership and account, you can register for a sessions right up to the start time.
I’m a PAYG member, do I still have to set up a Direct Debit mandate?
Yes. The DD mandate is only how the payment is processed. This means even one off, ad-hoc sessions can be paid using the DD process. Setting up a DD mandate does not always mean there is a regular payment scheduled. PAYG sessions are paid for with DD. You will only pay for what you register for.
Do you offer any discounts for special populations?
No. Our discounts and great value membership options are open to everyone. Use discount code TAFIT1 and you have your first session FREE to try us out and see what you think.
