“STOP DIETING… START INTERMITTENT FASTING!” This was/is the tag line of one of the numerous apps that are flooding my social media feed lately, trying to entice me to buy their app and start my personalised fasting protocol to really sky rocket my health!

From better mental acuity, insulin sensitivity, gut health, blood pressure, targeted fat loss, improved blood work, concentration, hormones, sleep, it would seem there is nothing that intermittent fasting won’t do.

As long as you buy their app… Well, other than nosh you off of course!

Unless there is a fasting protocol that improves your experience of fellatio!!! And if there is I know where my money is going!!!!

The Truth

In truth, intermittent fasting, or not eating for an extended period of time is nothing more than a tool for you to use to help you eat less food.

Which is really handy if you are trying to lose weight.

Guess what happens if you miss breakfast and only eat lunch and dinner!

You guessed it! 100 points to the bloke in a Calorie deficit in the Green shirt!

You eat less food, are more likely to be in a calorie deficit and therefore lose weight!!!! Whoop Whoop!!!

Along side that there are huge benefits to your health that weight loss brings. But this is not because of ‘fasting’, it is because you have lost weight.

The choice is yours

How you decide to lose weight is up to you, there are many many methods, intermittent fasting is only one of them. The principle is ALWAYS calorie deficit and the results are the same.

Weight loss brings you better health, across the board. Period. How you do that needs to suit your lifestyle. So you can remain consistent.

I’m a big fan of fasting, I’m doing it right now. But I am not a fan of toss pot app creators promising bullshit results due to a method of weight loss, that actually has no better results to health than a different one.

And that has been proven time and time again.

So, if you think this protocol can be good for you and help, great! Buy the apps, use them. Just don’t be caught up in the bullshit promises to health they spout from their arse gravy mouths, as there are many methods to weight loss that bring all the same health benefits, its not just fasting.

Calorie deficit is king, how you build one is as superficial as red brick or bath stone!
