Cooked or Raw? Which one do log?

Had an interesting question from a nutrition client today about whether they should log the Raw or Cooked weight of food they were eating.

In this case the food was Chicken breast.

And actually it doesn’t matter if you do the same each time you log.

The biggest issue with logging your food is error in logging.

So keeping as much consistency as you can becomes more important.

Even when it comes to consistent error!

Logging one food item with a small error does not matter if you always do it the same way, as we are looking for body comp changes over time.

And will adjust your intake on a more general level which will allows for small errors in the individual foods you log.

So whether its cooked or raw. Weigh it, scan it and log it.

Just always do it the same way.
