Isn’t it now time To stop re-starting?

I’ve see it this morning.

And it is the classic ‘re-starting’ post x-y-z person feels about their new program or regime and how great it is. They have fallen ‘off the wagon’ or they have been ‘off plan’ and that’s okay as they can climb back on, re-start, cleanse and make sure this time is THE time…

Onwards, upwards to the new, fitter, sexier, healthier version of me I have yet to, after years of trying, still never achieved!!!

Wow DT, bring it right down why don’t you!!!

Wtf!

However, hasnt the last year taught us that there shouldn’t actually be a fucking wagon to fall off of?

Don’t fall off!
Don’t get on the dam thing!
Ride a fucking Stallion!
Just get on with it!

We have all had the message to look after the NHS. And we have to. It is undoubtedly THE shining gem stone of the British Isles. I love it. My Mum had a wonderful career because of it and literally was hands on in saving lives.

However, I rarely use it… and I don’t want to have to. Use doesn’t come with frequent flyer miles!!

One extremely sad fact about this dam virus has been the impact on people with underlying health conditions.

So surely, the way to ‘protect’ our glorious institution as we move out of lockdown, is to minimise those conditions wherever WE can, as individuals. Control what WE can control!

This is not like recycling where your efforts are drops in the ocean when compared to the pollution of say, the USA!!!

This is something that will have a direct impact on YOUR life, our NHS and its future good work.

Diabetes 2 and Obesity cost in and around £20 Billion. And these two conditions we, the people, today, can have a massive impact on reducing.

Imagine if this was halved, how much more good would that do?

Moving forward, it is simply NOT good enough to NOT focus on your health.

You have a moral obligation to do what you can to stay as healthy as you can, so those who are sick get the help they need.

Now that might mean joining a gym. It might mean seeking psychological help, it might mean seeing a nutritionist, it might mean regular coffee with a mate. It doesn’t matter what that help is.

Health is multifaceted and if you are lacking in, nutritional, social, physical, intellectual or psychological wellness you MUST seek ‘help’.

There shouldn’t be a Wagon. We should always be looking to get in to and remain healthy, in ALL areas, rightly getting the help we need when we need it.

I owe it to myself. I owe it to you. You owe it to yourself. You owe it to me. And we all owe it to each other.

Now shift your arse, get on and stay on the healthy journey, a few pit stops here and there do NOT mean you have given up or failed and you know what?

We will protect the NHS! Forever!
